Learn (1) proper position placement of the heart rate recorder for optimal signal quality and
(2) how to update the firmware heart rate recorder -- if not connecting via Bluetooth (see below).
The heart rate recorder should be placed across the xiphoid sternum of the chest to minimize piezo-electric noise which could generate false heartbeat artifacts.

Firmware Update (TICKRx Gen 2 only)
Is your TICKRx heart rate recorder not connecting when in the Connect to Device window? Your device needs a one-time firmware update using the Wahoo Fitness app. Follow these instructions.
TO PERFORM A FIRMWARE UPDATE ON A NEW (NEVER-PAIRED) TICKRx Gen 2 SENSOR ONLY:
Install the app -- Enabling all requests
Select “Skip” (no need to register or login)
Power on and/or wake your sensor (by touching the contact points for TICKR), ensuring the LED lights flash, then follow the prompts to pair or link sensors, then add a new sensor.
Select Setup Wizard to set up your new sensor.
Simply select Install Update to begin!
